Privacy notice

This notice explains how Sarovic Consulting AB processes personal data when you use this website, select an audience view, or submit a scientific enquiry.

Controller

Who is responsible for the processing?

Sarovic Consulting AB (Swedish company registration number 559444-6840), Gothenburg, Sweden, operates this website and is the data controller for the processing described in this notice. The Pathogenetic Triad Research Programme governs the website's scientific content.

Questions about privacy or requests to exercise data-protection rights may be submitted through the scientific contact form. Select “Privacy or data-protection request” as the subject.

Hosting and measurement

Website delivery, security, and aggregate analytics

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When a page is requested, Netlify processes technical request information that may include the IP address, requested page, date and time, browser or device information, referrer, and related security information. This is necessary to deliver and protect the website.

Netlify Web Analytics is used to understand the website's aggregate reach, identify commonly visited pages and referring sources, and detect missing pages. The service derives statistics from Netlify's content-delivery server logs without placing analytics cookies or adding client-side analytics code. The controller receives aggregate statistics rather than raw visitor IP addresses or individual visitor profiles. Counts described as “unique visitors” are estimates based on different IP addresses and should not be interpreted as exact counts of people.

On the current Netlify Free plan, the analytics dashboard is available for the current and previous day. The controller does not export these analytics into a separate visitor database. The processing is based on the legitimate interests of operating and securing the website, understanding its general scientific reach, and improving its structure and accessibility.

The website does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, cross-site tracking, or automated profiling. Netlify Real User Monitoring is not enabled.

Enquiries

Contact form and correspondence

If you use the scientific contact form, Sarovic Consulting AB processes the name, email address, subject, and message you provide, together with technical information needed to deliver the submission and protect the form against misuse. The information is used to review and respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to manage subsequent scientific or organizational correspondence.

The lawful basis is the legitimate interest in receiving and responding to relevant correspondence and preventing misuse. Where an enquiry asks the company to take steps toward an agreement, processing may instead be necessary to take those steps at your request. Providing the information is voluntary, but the required fields must be completed for the form to be submitted and for a response to be sent.

Do not use the form to submit identifiable health information or request individual clinical advice. The website does not offer individual medical assessment or treatment.

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify and may also be retained by the email service used to manage the resulting correspondence. Submission copies held in Netlify will normally be deleted within 90 days. Correspondence will be retained only while needed for the enquiry or an ongoing collaboration and ordinarily for no longer than 24 months after the last substantive contact. It may be kept longer where necessary for an active scientific collaboration, a legal obligation, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Functional storage

Audience-view preference

When you select the Academic, Clinical, or Plain-language view, the website stores the selected view in first-party browser storage under the name pt-audience-view. The same value is stored in local storage and in a first-party cookie so the website can remember the requested display preference reliably.

The value contains only the selected audience mode. It is not used to identify you, build a profile, or track activity across websites, and it is not transmitted to the controller as analytics data. The cookie expires after one year; the local-storage value remains until you clear the website's stored data. This storage is created only when you choose a view and is used solely to provide that requested function.

Recipients and safeguards

Service providers and international transfers

Netlify acts as a processor for website hosting, security, analytics, and form handling. Its authorized subprocessors may also process data to provide those services. The email provider used for correspondence is another relevant category of recipient.

Personal data handled through Netlify may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Netlify's Data Processing Agreement provides safeguards including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where that framework does not apply, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information or a copy of the applicable safeguards may be requested through the contact form.

Personal data is not sold or provided to third parties for advertising or marketing.

Data-protection rights

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable data-protection law, you may request access to, correction or erasure of, or restriction of processing of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and request data portability where that right applies. Reasonable information may be requested to verify the identity of a person making a rights request.

Requests may be made through the scientific contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection ( Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

No automated decision-making or profiling is performed using data collected through this website.
